Rene Lucero joined Ashford Securities in June 2021, as Director of Operations. In his role, Mr. Lucero will focus on providing excellent service and support operationally to financial professionals, broker-dealers and registered investment advisors distributing the firm’s products. Mr. Lucero will also play a key role in identifying, leading, developing and improving operational inefficiencies, technological advancements, and a changing regulatory environment.

Prior to joining Ashford Securities, Mr. Lucero was a Relationship Manager for top producing financial professionals at Avantax Wealth Management. Prior to joining Avantax, Mr. Lucero was in due diligence and also was the Team Lead in client services at Provasi Capital Partners. Mr. Lucero began his financial services career as a brokerage trader at the Vanguard Group.

Mr. Lucero earned his B.Sc. in Political Science from Arizona State University. He also holds his Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Mr. Lucero lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife Katherine and they both love spending time with their two Westies Eddie, and Gus.
