Ruben Renteria serves as the Senior Accountant for Ashford Securities. Ruben assists Bruce Sumner (FINOP) in all financial and accounting operations of the company.

Prior to joining Ashford, Ruben was the Staff Accountant for Enhabit Home Health and Hospice. He oversaw the financial analysis of 26 branches scattered across the nation and was responsible for communications with Branch Directors and Administrators that were focused on the efficiency of day-to-day operations to drive revenue at each branch.

Ruben received his MBA from Texas A&M University-Commerce and BS in Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). While attending UTD, Ruben was a pitcher on the baseball team. In 2017, he was named 1st Team All-Conference, 3rd Team All Region, and El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame Collegiate player of the Year. In 2018 he helped win the school’s first baseball Conference Championship.

Ruben enjoys coaching baseball and is currently the coach for 2 teams. He also enjoys hunting and fishing and most of all traveling with his wife, Heather.
